MedAIRE enables users to measure hydrogen levels in their breath from the convenience of their homes. The accompanying FoodMarble Healthcare app efficiently records these breath test results and shares them instantly with healthcare providers. This data allows for the formulation of tailored treatment plans based on individual needs.

MedAIRE effectively monitors fermentation levels occurring in both the small and large intestines. Fermentation is a process where gut bacteria break down undigested food, and tracking this activity provides valuable insights for detecting conditions such as small intestinal bacterial overgrowth (SIBO) and carbohydrate malabsorption.

• SIBO Testing: SIBO is characterized by an abnormal increase in bacteria within the small intestine. The breakdown of undigested food by these bacteria produces hydrogen and other gases, which can lead to digestive symptoms when fermentation occurs prematurely before reaching the large intestine.
• Carbohydrate Malabsorption Testing: This condition arises when the body struggles to properly digest or absorb certain food components. If unabsorbed sugars enter the large intestine, they may undergo fermentation by gut bacteria. While fermentation is generally beneficial, excessive and rapid fermentation can lead to discomforting digestive symptoms.

The app also supports integration with Apple Health for food logging and menstrual cycle tracking, enhancing the overall user experience.
